Panamá city = Miami

Still awaiting pics from friends... Panama is an incredible city, very developped, in some parts, as you can see on the pics... Downtown looks more like Miami than central america... However, if you leave the rich center, this is a totally different picture... As I couldnt take the boat, I did two weeks of spanish school here and treated myself by staying at a hotel... Fitness, great breakfast, pool, sauna and jacuzzi, how nice...

Ive seen kinda everything here... 90 years old american guy sleeping at hostels and dealing medicaments... Pps sell cigarettes at the unit in the street (colombian with whom I got along and went out with ;)), a loooot of prostition :( it is legal here so I let you imagine... When going out, I am generally the only not working woman... Bc of that, there is a very strong machism culture... It is impossible to go out on the street and not get harassed by guys... The way they look at you gggrrrr... They make disgusting comments or horn you with the car... Seriously I am looking forward to leave that as it starts really bothering me...

Once again, I cherrish what I have got back home and we can consider ourselves as soooooo lucky... To have a choice, to have education, to be treated with respect and not as an object... Colombia Im coming :-)

Panama city it is :-)

Sooo... I was supposed to sail to the beautiful San Blas islands, lil paradise, and spend three days there before sailing down to Colombia, where I wanted to settle a bit and take some spanish classes... That was without thinking about getting an ear infection ??? yeah, I know, zthat kind of stuff happens to me only... So as I want to take this boat absolutely, I will wait for it until the 25th... Inbetween, I will take some spanish class here in Panama city (which I somehow like since scratch, probably reason why I am not bothered at all)...its amazing how detached and easy i take things nowadays... The situation is there anyway, just make the best out of it :) pura vida^^

Alors...

Life changin realisation that I should have made 10 yearsago

Omg did I really just find my purpose in life? I think... A decision that I wasn't able to make back home, but that I now feel doing having no boundaries, seems just soooo logical... New career path, new purpose in life which is going to fullfill me way more and be in line with my morality and way of living... How could that not make me happy???

This trip has been soooo good to me so far already, can't wait for it to continue!!!

Boquete - very rainy and... Ear infection 😂

So next was Boquete, a cute montagnous lil village... Rainy season started so all afternoons were rainy, but we could enjoy the sunny mornings :) so we went to the hot springs with a big group, by ourselves... There was a huge amazing hike to the volcano, 3.4 thousands meters i believe, but this was a 11 hours hike, which i didnt feel doing (my back is not entirely ok)... Anyway, started having ear pain so bought smth at the farmacy... Dr was closed already as saturday so decided to wait monday and be in panama city to see whats the matter,.. Et ben non... Woke up sunday at 2am from pain... But i have a huge angel somehow...na night clinic was opened in this tiny lil village, to which i could go :):):) angel i tell you! So now im under antibiotics for 3. days, but whatever, consider myself quite happy to be honest :)

Sooo been to bocas del toro, paradise islands of the carribbean... Most beautiful beaches ive ever seen in my life... First day we went to the starfish beach, all natural and not industrialised, and the second day we went to the red frog beach, without doubt the most beautiful beach ive seen in my life... Postcards are ugly in comparison... Last day we went kayaking and snorkeling... Pura vida :) on the other hand, we were going around by boat only and I looooove it... New career path? :-P

Will be adding more pics once i get them from friends^^

Bye Costa Rica, it has been very good, pura vida <3

Sooo, Im done with Costa Rica.... Overall impressions:

- Amazing landscapes, from volcanoes to rainforest to jungle to animals to the best beaches Ive seen in my life

- amazing people, generous, helpul, kind, chilled

Too developped turism, which makes the whole experience a bit less fun as everyone speaks english and you are there as a tourist, that's it, no chance to be anything else than "a gringo" paying the full price for everything (at the same time Inam travelling as a tourist as not settling down in one place so...)

Favorite spots: La Fortuna, Samara, Puerto Viejo ?

On another note, this one and a half month here has already made me grown quite a bit, in getting some responses to what I was looking for + it has made me realised how lucky we are back home (water, public transportation, jobs, opportunities in life, education etc...)

San Jose & Puerto Viejo

Biking to uva beach, acerrife beach and manzanillo

After a week spent in San Jose to treat/heal my back, I went to Puerto Viejo, on the carribbean side of Costa Rica... What a dream ? the athmosphere, the people, beaches... I would have liked to spend a bit more time there but I had to take my bus to Panama... As usual I met incredible peeps (I am into english ladies apparently)... No pics as no cell phone nor camera anymore, but stole the one from my friends...
